I get an error 4002 when processing on MyVirtualMerchant

HTTPPOST transactions are not allowed for this account. Error: 4002

This error means that you have all the correct account details, but a setting in your control panel is preventing you from running internet-based transactions. To fix this:

  1. Log into your control panel: https://www.myvirtualmerchant.com/VirtualMerchant/login.do
  2. Click Terminal>Advanced>System Setup
  3. Check the "Enable HTTP Transaction" setting.
  4. Also, un-check "Use HTTP Referrers".
