PayFlow "Invalid username/password" or "Invalid credentials"

PayFlow provides 4 pieces of information but there are only 3 spaces in Swipe to fill out.  There has been some confusion over what info goes where and has resulted in users getting "Invalid username/password" errors.

 

The 4 pieces provided are as follows:

USER
PARTNER ID
VENDOR
PASSWORD

Users with VENDOR names that are different from their USER must enter them both in the username space in Swipe separated by a forward slash.  For example, if your VENDOR name was 'Acme' and your USER was 'Suso' you would enter the following in the username field in Swipe: Suso/Acme.  The other two spaces should be pretty straight forward. Partner ID in the partner ID space, password in the password space.
