1. If you have not done so already, download Swipe. You can do so by going to: http://appninjas.com/swipeapp (opens iTunes)
2. Open Swipe on your phone. Click “Settings” at the top. Then click “Gateway”. Click the “Choose Gateway” button and select Authorize.Net. You will be using a computer to set up your account, which makes things very easy. Now click “Guided Setup” and follow the instructions on your iPhone screen. When it tells you to go to a URL and enter a Device ID, please use a computer and not your iPhone’s web browser. If you don’t have access to a computer or your phone does not have an internet connection, click Manual Setup instead.
3. You must turn test mode off in Authorize.Net before you can process transactions: Go to https://account.authorize.net, log in, and then click Account -> Test Mode. Click the button that reads Test Mode OFF. There is a separate “Test Mode” in Swipe, so you’ll still be able to test it out even with this button turned off.
4. Guided Setup will ask for a API Login and Transaction Key. To find your API Login and Password in Authorize.Net, click the Account menu, and click “API Login ID and Transaction Key”. We made a short tutorial video if that's helpful to you.
5. Enter this data into the Guided Setup window and click “Send to iPhone”. After this step is complete, you’ll be able to process credit cards with Swipe! Your funds will be deposited into your account in 2-3 days
Please remember to rate Swipe in the App Store. It helps us a lot!
